Why would my school have me select a business-class laptop over a consumer-class laptop? return to top
Consumer-class laptops are designed with the home user in mind—one that uses the computer on a limited basis for entertainment and daily tasks. They generally include only a one-year warranty with limited technical support. Business-class systems are built with the mindset that durability, security, reliability and affordability are key. They are designed to have much longer, more stable life cycles, and they better fit the types of computing you’ll be doing as a student.

What happens if I drop my laptop or damage it by accident? return to top
Accidental Damage Protection is being offered with your system to protect you from the costs of troubleshooting and repairing your computer due to an accident. Sometimes this cost is more than the value of the computer. Some restrictions apply.

Will I find my computer for less somewhere else? return to top
That’s not likely. Your school has negotiated directly with HP to obtain discounts that are 20 to 30% less than what HP would charge direct. Plus, they’ve selected the computers and accessories they feel would work best for the types of activities you’ll be doing during your time in school.

How much is shipping? return to top
Ground shipping is standard, charges are as follows:
• Carrying Cases $5.00 each

Please note:
We cannot ship to a PO Box. Your order will begin processing immediately upon verification of your payment information. Typical delivery time is two weeks from your order date. You can log in to your account and check status at anytime by clicking the Order History button under the My Account menu. Shipping and Handling for each item will be added at checkout. Please contact us using the Contact Us information below if you are in need of expedited shipping.

How can I save my price quote? return to top
To save a quote, add the items you wish to save to the cart by clicking either Add and Continue Shopping or Add and Checkout. When you have selected all of the items you are interested in purchasing and have loaded them into your cart, you can save your order as a quote clicking the Save as Quote button.

If you are not already logged in, you will be prompted to do so before you can save a quote. Shipping and Handling and Sales Tax (where applicable) will be added at checkout. You can save a quote for up to 30 days.

To view quotes that you have previously saved, log in to the site and click on the View Quote button under the My Account menu. This will bring up a list of your quotes that were created within the last 30 days. Click on the View / Edit Quote button to make changes to the quote or to initiate your purchase.

How can I check the status of my order? return to top
To view order status, log in to your account and click the Order History button on the My Account landing page.

Order Status will be divided into four categories:

Confirmed: Order has been received, method of payment approved
Allocated: Product has been allocated for the order
Shipped: Order has been shipped, tracking information available
Cancelled: Order has been cancelled

What if I change my mind about my order? return to top
If you decide not to proceed with your order or change your order after it has already been placed, please use the contact us link to notify us immediately. Restocking fees may apply.

What kind of technical support can I get once I have my computer? return to top
Technical Support for computer systems and accessories will be provided by HP.
